Capturing Jay and Alys’ Indian-English fusion wedding at Sant Ffraed House on December 29th, 2023, was a truly remarkable experience. As their Sant Ffraed House videographer, I had the privilege of being their wedding videographer, documenting a day filled with love, culture, and vibrant energy.
The day began with a traditional Indian ceremony, where Jay and Alys, dressed in stunning attire — Jay in a regal sherwani and Alys a breathtaking gown — exchanged garlands in Sant Ffraed’s majestic K-Room, the first wedding ceremony to take place here. The sounds of traditional Indian music filled the air, blending seamlessly with the stunning Welsh landscape surrounding Sant Ffraed House.
As the day transitioned into the English ceremony, the couple changed into classic Western outfits — Jay in a sharp tuxedo and Alys in a flowing white gown. The elegance of the English traditions combined with the warmth of the Indian rituals created an unforgettable atmosphere. The guests, too, embraced the fusion, with many dressed in a mix of saris and suits, celebrating the union of two cultures.
The reception was a lively affair, with a blend of Indian and Western music that kept everyone on their feet. From the emotional speeches to the joyous dancing, every moment was charged with happiness.
Editing the footage from this day has been a joy. Each frame is a testament to Jay and Alys’ love and the beauty of bringing two worlds together. I’m honoured to have been part of such a special day, capturing memories that will be cherished for a lifetime! Thank you Alys and Jay for asking us to be your wedding videographer!
